BEST WESTERN BEACHFRONT INN This is the finest motel in town. It is clean and new, as well as being conveniently located close to fishing and several restaurants. As its name implies, this hotel is situated right on the waterfront with each and every room offering a spectacular view of the pounding surf. Rooms (double occupancy) start around $85. Executive oceanview suites are around $105 (double occupancy) Jacuzzi suites start at around $115 (dbl). Executive Jacuzzi suites are around $150 (groups of up to seven)
BROOKINGS INN
RESORT This is a very reasonable alternative to the more pricey Beachfront Best Western. Rooms start at around $68 (double occupancy). The Brookings Inn Resort is clean and spiffy while being located close to several restaurants and shopping. They offer a heated indoor pool and Jacuzzi as well.
BEST WESTERN SHIP ASHORE RESORT
This hotel is located right at the mouth of the Smith River in extreme Northern California. The "ship" is a fun place to stay, and is well set up for the visiting fisherperson. Rooms start at around $60 (double occupancy) Suites are available for groups up to five at around $90. There are also rooms with hot tubs for around $100 per night. A "penthouse suite" is available for groups of up to four for around $135. The ship ashore offers its own restaurant and live music on weekend evenings. Take my word for it, this is a fun place to stay! You can watch the seals and fish moving up the river right in the hotel's backyard.
SPINDRIFT MOTOR INN This is another relatively new facility that should please most guests. Rooms (double occupancy) start around $58 The Spindrift Inn is centrally located by restaurants and shopping in Brookings.
PACIFIC SUNSET INN For those on a more frugal budget, the Pacific Sunset Inn offers clean, quiet rooms for around $45 (double occupancy) per night. Three kitchenette suites are available (for groups of 2-4) ranging between $60-$80 per night.
